Protan EX is a polyester-reinforced thermoplastic (PVC-P) roofing membrane with a polyester felt laminated to the underside. The membrane has good properties in both high and low temperatures and good resistance to UV-radiation and atmospheric pollution.

The roofing membrane is primarily used as exposed roofing when re-roofing directly on old bitumen roofs. Protan EX is installed either as mechanically fixed or vacuum roofs. Protan EX is suitable for use in the Nordic climate as well as more sun-exposed southern regions. South of the Alps, bright colors are recommended for longer service life.
