This Fibrecloth fabric can be used for multiple reasons in a roof construction. The intention is to protect the roof waterproofing material. It can be any of the following: - separation / migration barrier - protection layer - slip layer - levelling layer.

As a separation or migration barrier, it is used between two layers to prevent chemical interaction between them - As a protection layer, it is normally laid over the membrane to protect it from mechanical stress and similar impacts - As a slip layer, it is laid between two layers to reduce excessive friction between them - As a levelling layer, it is laid between two layers to hide unevenness in the substrate.
