Protan EX is a PVC roofing with a fleece glued to the underside. The roof covering is well suited for use in Nordic climates, as well as more sun-exposed southern regions. South of the Alps, bright colors are recommended to achieve a longer service life. The roof covering has good properties in both high and low temperatures, and good resistance to UV radiation and pollution. Protan EX is fire classified according to EN 13501-5 as exposed roof coverings on various roof structures. All Protan PVC-P coatings are welded together with hot air.

The roofing is primarily used in exposed roofing when re-roofing directly on top of old asphalt roofing. Protan EX is installed either as a mechanically installed or vacuum-secured roof.
